Established in 1974, The Ponderosa Eatery and Saloon is family owned and operated. We pride ourselves on providing our customers with the freshest and most delicious home cooking in the Manzano mountains. We hand cut our steaks, make our spicy red and green chili from scratch and of course, our world famous Pondo Burger is homemade and seasoned fresh, never frozen.
We specialize in New Mexican cuisine but our extensive menu has something for everyone!
    The Ponderosa's impressive bar serves over 65 liquors, 25 different import and domestic beers, including four on tap, and a few choice wines. If you happen to find yourself at the bar on Monday thru Wednesday from 4-7pm, take advantage of our Happy Hour beer specials!
           The Ponderosa provides a relaxing atmosphere to take in a game of pool with friends, dance the night away on most Fridays or Saturdays when we host local bands, watch the UFC Fights and NFL games on our big screen tv, or just kick back and have a couple beers on our outdoor patio.(weather permitting)   The Ponderosa has a lot to offer you. We are available for all kinds of special events. We also provide a great location for movie and photo shoots. The Ponderosa was featured in the 2004 film, Elvis Has Left The Building.
