Welcome!! What started as a hobby in their family homes has grown into a thriving business
during these past few years, hence, the birth of MINU Jewels (pronounced MY-NEW). "Our style is eclectic and unique. We like to make timeless pieces that no matter what the trend is, you can still wear it anytime or season. Why wear something everyone else has? Be different, that is what we believe!!" The Egyptian-born designer, Mina Hassan, brings the influences of her heritage and culture into each piece of jewelry. Some background on Mina is that she was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina and attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1993. She has always been interested in design, art, painting and traveling which influences all the designs at MINU Jewels. With the help of her mother, Mimi Moghazi and sister, Sherine Osman, they have created a style of jewelry that is reflective of the past and yet contemporary for the woman today. Each piece of jewelry is handmade and each style is unique. MINU Jewels has reached all corners of the world...United States, Guam, Canada, South America, Greece, England, Scotland, other European countries and Asia. Their jewelry is sold in upscale stores and boutiques throughout the US, Canada, and Japan. You can find the nearest retailer at their retail stores page. Futhermore, MINU Jewels is carried by Macy's New York, The Golden Bear, Free People and in boutiques in the US, Europe, Japan and the Middle East. In 2005, they made their first appearance on the national television show, The SpringShowcase, which aired throughout the United States and Canada. Their jewelry has been featured in The Daily Candy, Lucky the Mag (Greece), New Mexico Business Journal and in Albuquerque the Magazine. Their greatest joy was their participation in the Non-winning Nominees Oscars gift bags in February 2007. In 2008, MINU Jewels secured representation by the prestigious accessories showroom, SupplementsNY in New York City. Since then, MINU Jewels has been Good Housekeeping magazine (March '09), LA'G Magazine (March '09), bRILLIANT Magazine (June 2009), Ladies Home Journal (Nov '09) and Gourmet Magazine (Dec. 2009).
